Moong dal namkeen recipe /haldiram’s moog dal is very famous . We always used to brought it from grocery store but this can be easily made at home with few easy steps .
Moong dal namkeen / Moong dal chiwada you can eat at tea time snacks or while watching tv or can be eat while travelling .
This is made up of split green gram with some added spices . You can also add chat masala if you like .
  • Moong Dal( Split green gram)
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Curry Leaves
  • Peanuts
  • Chat Masala ( Optional )


Clean and soak the split gram dal (Moong Dal) for 4 Hours . Dry it on cotton cloth till gets completely dried .

Heat the oil . At high flame , deep fry the moong dal till the sound start . Deep fry the peanut and curry leaves . Drain all these on kitchen towel . Absorb the extra oil by paper towel .

Now add salt , red chilli powder and hing . Enjoy the moong dal namkeen any time as snack .
