Methi Matar Pulao is a healthy and tasty pulao recipe made from a combination of two winter vegetable Fenugreek Leaves and Green Peas. This Pulav recipe is quick and easy to make.
You can have Methi Mutter Pulao for lunch / dinner or take this recipe in lunch box! Matar Pulao is best served with any gravy or raita.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bowl Basmati Rice (बासमती चावल )
  • 1 Cup Water (पानी )
  • 1 Bowl Fenugreek Leaves(मेथी)
  • 2 Tsp Oil(तेल)
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin seed(जीरा)
  • 1 clove of Garlic (लसुन)
  • 1 Inch Ginger (अदरक )
  • Small Stick of Cinnamon (दालचीनी )
  • 1 Bay Leaf (तेजपान)
  • 1 Anise(चक्रफुल)
  • 1 Black Cardamom (बड़ी इलाइची)
  • 2  Green Cardamom(छोटी इलाइची)
  • 3 Cloves (लौंग)
  • 1 Medium size Onion(प्याज)
  • 4-5 Green Chillies (हरी मिर्च)
  • 1/2 Bowl Green Peas (मटर)
  • 1 Tsp Salt (नमक)
  • 2 Tsp Ghee (clarified Butter )

Directions

1 Clean basmati rice for 2-3 time with water and soak for 15 mins . Now clean and chop fenugreek leaves finely .

2 Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds . It will starts spluttering and cracking .Add ginger-garlic paste . Add all the spices like  bay leaf , cinnamon ,black and green cardamom , anise and cloves .Add onion and roast it . Add green chillies ,green peas , fenugreek leaves (finely chopped) .

3 Add soaked rice and mix all the ingredient properly . Add 1 cup water , put the lid and cook for 10 mins at medium flame . Check occasionally . If required add some more water .

4 When pulao is ready add 2 Tsp ghee . Take out in serving bowl and enjoy hot with raita ,pickle or and curry . A delicious , flavoured Methi Matar Pulao is Ready !!!!!!
