Hello , Kanada poha is the speciality of Maharastra . In everyday breakfast recipe in every maharastrian’s home .
Poha is the flattened rice and onion are the main ingredients . Others are mustard seed , cumin seed, curry leaves coriander leaves etc.
I have garnish here with the grated coconut and coriander leaves . You can also garnish with masala sev, finely chopped onions and serve with black chana curry .
It is simple easy snack time recipe . It can be cook within a minute .Poha is one of the healthy snack .It is recommended to use thick poha and red onion but white onion also goes well . Thank you for watching this video.

- 2 Bowl Flattened Rice (पोहा )
- 5 Tbsp Olive Oil (Any vegetable oil)
- 1 medium size Red Onion (प्याज़)
- 1/2 Bowl Green Peas (मटर )
- 1 small size Potato( आलू )
- 6-7 Curry Leaves (करी पत्ता )
- 3 Green chillies (हरी मिर्च )
- Spring Onion
- 3/4 Tsp Salt (नमक )
- 1 Tsp Sugar (शक्कर )
- 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder (हल्दी )
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin (जीरा)
- 1/2 Tsp Mustard Seed (राई )
- 3 Tsp Grated Coconut(किसा हुआ नारियल )
- Coriander Leaf
1 Clean Poha 1-2 times with water . Drain all the water and keep for soaking for 10 mins.
2 In a pan, heat the 4-5 Tbsp of Olive oil. Add mustard seed and cumin seed . Now add thin sliced potato . Cook , roast properly till the onion gets golden brown .
3 Now add onion ,green peas and roast it to the golden brown coloured . Add green chillies ,curry leaves and spring onion . If you don’t have green peas , you can also add peanuts or can add both .
4 Add poha and mix all the ingredients properly . Add sugar . Mix all the ingredients. Take out in serving bowl . Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaf . Enjoy hot with tea .
