Here I have shared a simple recipe to make ginger tea with milk . This is the most famous beverage in India . I make Indian tea every morning . This is also called adrak wali chai or adrak chai in India . The aroma , smell , taste of ginger is most unique . There are also many Health benefits of ginger .Like it is good for sore throats , digestion . Adarak wali chai is the perfect beverage with pakodas ,kanda poha,alu bhonda ,biscuits ,bread .


  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Black Tea Powder/Leaves
  • 1 inch Fresh Ginger
  • 2 Green Cardamom(Choti Elaichi)
  • 1/4 cup Full Cream Milk


1Peel the fresh ginger and grate it .
In a small saucepan, combine the grated ginger with the cardamom and 1 cups water and bring to a boil. Add sugar and tea powder, return to a boil, then reduce the heat to maintain a simmer and poach the tea until cooked through, about 5 minutes.

2Now add fresh cream milk and again bring to a boil.

3 You can adjust the amount of milk ,sugar as per your like . If you like strong tea then simmer it for long time .

4Green Cardamom should be crushed or powdered form and add with the peel . Ginger should also be crushed in a mortar-pestle or grate with the grater . So that cardamom and ginger can mix properly and can add its flavour fully .

5 Cardamom is optional . Amount of ginger is also can be adjusted . If you like the strong tea add some more ginger.
