Hello , Here I am presenting a recipe for traditional way of making Besan ke laddu with added tips and tricks . Besan ke laddu is vert famous sweet / mithai in India . Maa ke hath ka achar and Besan ke laddu , most popular word In India ,related to sentiments . Besan ke ladoo is beasn / Gram flour , sugar and ghee are the main ingredients.
It’s good to take coarse gram flour . But if you don’t have coarse gram flour , you can add 2 Tsp of Suji(Rava) to make it granular . But if you ask me , my personal choice is to be soft , melting in mouth besan laddu .
Besan ke laddu you can store in cool and dry place or in vacuums container for 15 days . This is easy to carry so good to carry while traveling .

- 1 Bowl Gram Flour (बेसन )
- 1/2 Bowl Ghee (घी )
- 1/2 Bowl Sugar (शक्कर )
- 4 Green cardamom (छोटी इलाइची )
- 1 Tsp Cashew nuts (काजू )
- 1 Tsp Almond (बादाम )
- 1 Tsp Pumpkin seeds (any nuts of your choice)
- 1 Tsp Raisins (किशमिश ) (Optinal)
1 Take a thick bowl pan . At low flame roast the besan (gram flour) for 5 mins . Keep on stirring . Take care so that besan will not burn . Now add ghee , mix it well . Make a smooth ,consistent paste . Keep stirring .Take care so that lumps will not form . Roast for 20-30 mins . Besan gets aromatic and dark in colour .
2 Switch off the gas and let besan cool down completely . Meanwhile grind the sugar and green cardamom together to make a fine powder . Roast all the nuts to make it crunchy (like cashew ,almond and pumpkin seed) .
3 Strain sugar with strainer . After 15 mins , when besan cool down , add sugar and nuts .
4 Mix all the ingredients and make a medium size ball ( Laddu ) . Apply ghee in your hand so that besan will not stick to your hand .
5 Laddu is ready . When cool down keep it in airtight container for 10-15 days .
